PRACTICAL GUIDE
Build a shortlist around your evening
Start with the responsibility you want, then narrow the choice by controls and hardware. A game can fit your taste without fitting tonight.
Name the activity, not the mood
Write down whether you want to compose, solve a placement problem or manage a changing settlement. “Relaxing” means different things to different players; those three activities are a more concrete starting point.
Look at the work between the screenshots
Watch ordinary footage with the interface visible. Notice what information must be read and what decisions repeat. A finished skyline or a beautiful castle cannot show the routine on its own.
Make a practical shortlist
Open the official listing for each candidate. Confirm the exact edition, your desktop system, input information and storage needs. Treat minimum requirements as a reference rather than a promise of performance. Keep one alternative with a different level of responsibility.
